Sign a lease, a school form or an offer letter without printing and scanning. Create your signature by drawing it with a mouse, finger or stylus, by typing your name in a handwriting style, or by uploading a photo of your signature on paper (the paper background is removed automatically). Then place it on any page, drag it into position and resize it from the corner.

Add your initials on other pages and today's date in the format the document needs. When you save, the signature, initials and date are drawn into the page content and any fillable form fields are flattened, so they cannot be moved or edited with an annotation tool.

A signature added this way is an image of your signature, not a certificate-based digital signature. It is widely accepted for everyday documents; for contracts that require a qualified or certified electronic signature, use the service the other party specifies.

How to use it

  1. Choose the PDF to sign.
  2. Draw, type or upload your signature and click "Place on page".
  3. Drag and resize it; go to other pages to add initials or the date.
  4. Click Save PDF and download the signed copy.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The file is read and processed by your browser on your device; nothing is sent to a server. You can load the page, switch off Wi-Fi and it still works.

Is this a legally binding e-signature?

It is an image of your signature placed on the document, which many organisations accept for everyday paperwork. It is not a cryptographic digital signature; check what the recipient requires for important contracts.

Is my signature stored?

No. It exists only on this page while you work and in the PDF you download. Nothing is saved or uploaded.

Can I sign several pages?

Yes. Move to another page and place the signature, initials or date again; each item belongs to the page where you add it.

Can the signature be removed from the saved PDF?

It is drawn into the page content (flattened), so it cannot be dragged off with an annotation tool, although any PDF editor can still cover or delete page content.

What if my PDF is password-protected?

The tool will say so. If it is your file and you know the password, remove the protection with Unlock PDF first, then use the unlocked copy here.
