Search for a city or country and add it to the board: each card shows the local time to the second, the date, the UTC offset, whether daylight saving time is in effect, and how many hours it is ahead of or behind your device.
Offsets and DST rules come from the IANA time zone database built into your browser, the same data your operating system uses, so changes such as a country abolishing DST are picked up when your browser updates. Gulf states (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman) do not observe DST, while Europe and most of North America change clocks twice a year on different dates.
The cities you pick are written into the page address (?c=dubai,london,...), so bookmarking the page or sharing the link reopens the same board. Nothing is stored on a server.
How to use it
- Type a city or country name (English or Arabic) in the search box and choose a result to add it.
- Read each city's time, date, UTC offset and DST badge; the last line shows the difference from your own time.
- Remove cities with the Remove button and switch between 24-hour and 12-hour display.
- Bookmark or share the page address to keep your selection.
Frequently asked questions
How does it know about daylight saving time?
It asks your browser for the offset of each IANA zone (for example Europe/London) at the current moment. The DST badge appears when that offset is larger than the zone's standard offset for the year.
Why is India UTC+5:30 and Nepal UTC+5:45?
Not every zone is a whole number of hours from UTC. India, Sri Lanka, Iran, Afghanistan, Myanmar, parts of Australia and Nepal use half- or quarter-hour offsets, and the clock shows them exactly.
Is the time taken from my computer?
Yes. The page reads your device clock and converts it to each zone. If your device clock is wrong, every city will be wrong by the same amount.
Can I add a city that is not in the list?
The list covers more than 180 major cities. If yours is missing, pick a nearby city in the same country and time zone; for example Sharjah and Dubai share Asia/Dubai.
