Celsius to Fahrenheit (°C to °F)
Convert °C to °F with the exact formula (× 9/5 + 32), plus a table of weather, body and oven temperatures.
Loading tool…
The formula is °F = °C × 9/5 + 32: multiply by 1.8, then add 32. It needs the offset because water freezes at 0 °C but 32 °F. So 25 °C is 77 °F, 37 °C (body temperature) is 98.6 °F and a 45 °C summer afternoon in the Gulf is 113 °F.
Ovens are where people most often get stuck: 180 °C is 356 °F (recipes round to 350 °F), 200 °C is 392 °F (400 °F) and 220 °C is 428 °F (425 °F). The table includes these. For a change in temperature rather than a reading, multiply by 1.8 without adding 32.

Frequently asked questions
What is the formula for Celsius to Fahrenheit?
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Example: 30 °C × 1.8 = 54, plus 32 = 86 °F.
What is a quick mental estimate?
Double it and add 30: 20 °C → 70 °F (exact 68). The error grows at high temperatures, so use the exact formula for cooking.
What is 180 °C in Fahrenheit?
356 °F. Recipes usually round it to 350 °F, which is 176.7 °C.
Is 38 °C a fever?
It is 100.4 °F, the threshold many health services use to define a fever. This page only converts the number; ask a clinician about symptoms.
